Pope Francis: coherence between faith and life

The Lord sends us out to proclaim that the Risen Lord with joy. Pope Francis made a strong call to witness in word and deed, at Mass Sunday evening in his first visit to the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls. You cannot proclaim the Gospel of Jesus – the Pope said – without concrete proof of life. Who hears and sees us must be able to read in our actions what they hear from our mouth and give glory to God. Mass was concelebrated by Abbot of St. Paul, Edmund Power and Cardinal James Michael Harvey, Archpriest of the Papal Basilica. Earlier, the Pope prayed at the tomb of St Paul the Apostle and incensed the Apostles Trophæun.
