During the past week, the abortion debate has already come up several times in the Belgium media, (Radio, TV, Newspaper & online) with the spokespeople of the March for Life making active contributions. The large amounts of media attention is, above all due to the fact that for the first time at the March for Life, the Grand Rabi of Brussels and the Head Imam will both be addressing the crowd. The Rabi, Imam, and several Catholic Bishops from Belgium, have signed a joint declaration to uphold the protection of Human Life from conception.
Pro-life supporters will travel from all over Europe, and even America and Canada to attend the 3rd March. We can see that pro-life crowd is growing year on year, as the event becomes increasingly popular with families and young people, with numbers doubling from the first to the second year.
The March for Life was started in 2010 by a group of young students, today it is the biggest Pro-Life event in Belgium, and is fast becoming one of the top Marches for Life in Europe. This year it will take place on 25th March, in Brussels City Center.
